We Sold the Car!!!!!

After letting my last explorer overheat last October I had to ride the bus from Lehi to Provo to go to work. That ment standing at the roadside bus stop at 5:00am in the snow with 10 degree winds whipping my trash. But the 90 minute bus ride home was worse, sitting by stinky freaks until the bus dropped me off at 7:00pm. It was a rough couple months.

But then Alex suprised me with this car. I was able to get to work in 20 minutes instead of riding for 90. I could go to the store and drive to Kelly's house. Life was good.

It was an inbetween car until I could buy something on my own... which I eventually did. Trying to sell the Nissan has been kinda hard. Lots of low low offers and shady people. But tonight, someone finally bought it.

It made me kinda sad, it was probably the closest thing to a diamond ring I will ever recieve, but we are mo' money richer and that is exciting too!

"Um, what is that?" I know I said the same thing when I saw them. They look like Manchaladas and tasted like Manchaladas but alas... they were not true Manchaladas. Alex made them. Is this the death of Manchaladas. Are Al-chaladas the new "it" item????

Rippin' off Rite Aid

We ripped off Rite Aid today. Alex had a new prescription he needed. I found a printable coupon for a free $20 giftcard when you get a new prescription. It was kinda sad. I think this Rite Aid might have needed that $20. But, whatever, we stilled ripped them off. We got the prescription and a 24 pack of coke and a $15 Papa Johns gift card for only $2.20.

And the best part is the instead of the normal 20 coke points this box has 50 coke points. sick!

Rockstar Quilter

Today I made one of my best Craigslist finds. Its a PVC pipe quilting frame. I have strolled down the quilting aisle at JoAnns many times pausing to lust after these. But they are $100 and not ever on sale and you cant use a coupon. But I found one today on Craigslist for only $40. I made Alex call cause I am not confidant enough to low ball people. He offered $30 and she said no. We hung up defeated. Not 30 seconds later she called back and accepted the offer. I jumped in my vehicle (purchased for this very thing) and headed to Sandy. It was a nice house, belonging to someone who obviously wasn't going to miss the $10 we scammed her out of. She brought the box down and I got so excited. It was about to be mine. I said, " I am so stoked. I have wanted one of these for so long!" and she just looked at me like I was a freakin retard, "Really?" she asked in disbelief.

As I was making the 7 point turn to get my car turned around I was a little hurt. I wanted to roll down the window and scream "you don't have to be 50 to quilt!" or "I have cool hobbies too!" or maybe just "die! die! die!"

I stopped on the way home and got my toes done. They are sparkle blue. I am a rockstar quilter.

The Return of Jonathan Luke

I met up with Jonathan and had lunch today on BYU campus. Its the first time I have seen him in almost three years. I know I shouldn't have, that it would turn out badly, but I did it anyway. My suspicions were correct.

He was the same kid I remember. Loud and boisterous, yet slightly unsure. Arrogant and very full of himself with a false aura of humbleness. He still talks with food in his mouth and spits it all over me when he talks. The current love of his life is the greatest love there has ever been and she is so much more perfect than I ever was.

I was hoping for an apology, maybe more like expecting one. I assumed that's what this lunch meet was for. But he didn't. So I didn't get to give my speech.

In high school I was madly, hopelessly in love with you. And you knew it and exploited me. Your parents knew it as well and took advantage of a stupid 16 year old girl. I resent all of you for your actions. I blame your parents more than you. As educated adults, who were in charge of teaching you some of the harder and more uncomfortable life lessons, they should have stopped you from playing with the emotions of the ugly fat girl. They knew better, but it was easier to do nothing. So that's what they did.
But it was still you that thew me away and then pulled me back in time after time. I am sure you realized what you were doing. It seems that you feed off of others affection towards you. You need someone to worship you. And I was your backup worshiper.
I'm not blameless either. I should have walked away those times you told me you couldn't handle me in your life. But I was dumb and at 16 who really can walk away from the boy they are "in love" with?
Its been five years and I become a totally different person than the one I was in high school. I don't let boys with God complexes get to me anymore. I have a life that I am happy living. I don't want you in it. Please don't call me again.

Now he wants me to come over to dinner with his whole fam damily. I wonder how well this speech would go over at the Luke family dinner table?

Tulips

Alex and I planted tulip bulbs last fall. Since the snow melted 3 weeks ago we have been looking everyday for our little babies to pop out of the ground. Its crazy how this has become such a fascination to us. I am expecting them to blossom and our front flower bed to be the best on the block and will really be disappointed if I kill them.
