"Special Needs"

Shelby eats her own poo. Its gross. And then she has stinky poo breath. So we purchased these pills for her. Actually, I waited in the car of the dark PetSmart parking lot while Tony ran in to buy it. As we were speeding away from the store I took the bottle out and realized it said right there on the label its for "special needs" dogs.

Its hard to finally acknowledge the fact that someone you love so much really does perform below average.

Once we got home Shelby sniffed the bottle out. She dug at my coat pocket until I let her see it. Immediately she jumped across the room. I sat the bottle on the ottoman and she inspected it from the safety of the vacuum.

Templeton: my hero

Templeton is probably the most unsavory character in Charlotte's Web. But, I do admire him for his thrifty ways. Why let perfectly good food scraps go to waste? Pharmaceutical reps bring lunch to our office almost everyday. Not all of that food gets eaten. Someone should take it home and revitalize it for dinner. That person is me. As I was leaving the office on Monday, buried under two empty boxes for wrapping presents, a 2012 edition of Physician's Desk Reference, a reusable plastic bowl from Noodles, some grilled chicken kabobs and a container of shredded cheese Angie called out, "See you later, office rat!" to her I responded, "Please, call me Templeton."
