Rice Wine

In a quest to change my status from "stinkin' lazy wife" to "marginally acceptable wife" I try to cook dinner most nights and a new recipe once a week. This week's adventure dinner required that I do a little shopping at the Asian market right by the freeway. That place smelled foul. I'm sure I could figure out what it was if I would just allow myself to think about it, but I don't wanna.

I had to buy some rice wine for my dinner spectacular. It was cheaper than I thought it would be, ringing up at a mere $1.53



On the drive home it occurred to me that the cashier didn't check any ID. I wondered if my rice wine was really wine at all. I closely inspected the bottle. It says 15% alcohol!



Budweiser is only 5% alcohol. This much cooler looking bottle is only .16 an ounce and 3x the kick. So, if I was a budget conscious drinking I would totally be knocking back the rice wine.
