When someone talks negatively about coupons I get really upset. It could be some idiot on the news,an ex-stalker on facebook or a co-worker, but I still get mad enough to turn off the TV or eat my lunch on the toilet in the bathroom.
It matters! Those dollars add up! And since I enjoy it so much its a hobby that pays!
Just to prove its not a waste of time I calculated the time spent and money saved today on my weekly shopping trip. I counted 6 minutes for dumpster diving for coupons while walking Shelby. I spent 33 minutes making a menu for the week and matching the best local deals with coupons I already had or could print. We spent 28 minutes at the grocery store doing the shopping. Without coupons or price matching this weeks groceries and household items would have been $58.35. We ended up paying $34.76.
That's TWENTY DOLLARS. More than I get paid for the same time spent at work.
